About the PT—

Courtney Brooks, PT, DPT, OCS, Cert. MDT

Born and raised in Midland (Greenwood), I met my favorite person and husband Jarrel just before graduating high school. We married right after PT school in June of 2014 then welcomed our two energetic and busy girls, Henley in 2016 and Crosby in 2016. We live in Greenwood and love to be involved in this wonderful community.

I decided before graduating high school that I wanted to go into the medical field to help others. I attended Texas Tech University to obtain my bachelors degree in 2011 then went on to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center to complete my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2014. In PT school I spent time in pediatric clinics and loved those clients, but ended up being drawn into orthopedics. The first 5 years of my career were spent at a local outpatient orthopedic clinic where I learned so much surrounded by some great colleagues. This time was imperative in my career because the two additional certifications I obtained during that time have given me a very in depth approach to anatomy and mechanics when treating my tiny patients. After having two kids of my own, I was drawn towards the pediatric clients that were coming into the clinic. As a young mom myself, I felt connections to the parents there trying to do everything they could for their children. With two young children comes a lot of time away from work, and after a lot of prayers and talks, my husband and I decided it was time to take a leap and Renew Physical Therapy and Wellness, PLLC was born and rose to success quite quickly. I spent the first two years of self employment equally treating adults and children alike, but once again the Lord has opened doors and I have decided to transition services into primarily pediatric. West Texas TheraPLAY began in the summer of 2022 and shortly after We Rock The Spectrum KIDS GYM became available as a home base to treat clients! If you have read this far - thanks! I am blessed and excited to be able to serve families of West Texas.
